Meet Dr. James K. Kramer

With 30+ years of experience and as a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Kramer offers his patients a wealth of clinical expertise and compassion during each appointment. He loves every aspect of his dentistry, from meeting new patients to helping them sort through their treatment options to restoring their smiles to good health and maintaining those improvements for years to come. He goes home at the end of every day feeling that he’s made a big difference!

Dr. Kramer’s interest in dental care started early! Born and raised in Delaware, he attended a dental technology program at Hodgson Vocational Technical High School, learning how to make custom dental crowns, bridges, and dentures. Then, he spent a year taking dental technology classes at the National School of Health Technology in Philadelphia. From there, it seemed natural to proceed to dental school, and the technical skills that he acquired during these early years are still much appreciated by his patients.

Today, Dr. Kramer still sets very high standards for himself when it comes to patient care. He goes above and beyond to provide them with high-quality improvements and treats everyone just the way he would want to be treated.

Education

Dr. Kramer attended the University of Delaware for his undergraduate work and then graduated with honors as a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Temple University School of Dentistry. He was also a member of the periodontal, endodontics, oral surgery, and prosthodontics honor societies. Today, he is proud to have earned a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry, which is an honor achieved by fewer than five percent of all dentists in the US. He’s also undergone a General Practice Residency at Christiana Hospital and attended advanced restorative training at both the world-renowned Dawson Academy and the Chesapeake Dental Education Center. In addition to the AGD, he is also a member of the following organizations:

Outside the Office

Dr. Kramer is happily married to his high school sweetheart Marie, and they have three wonderful grown children who all entered into the medical profession—in fact, one is a dentist too! In his free time, he enjoys offshore sport fishing and boating with family and friends. Dentistry is also genuinely one of his favorite hobbies, and he likes to learn all he can about the field.
